What we think

For the most part, it’s an entertaining way to spend 90 minutes, even if it ultimately tries doing way too much – music! satire! – and ends up half-decapitating itself in the process.

What others think

This is well-worked territory for horror and horror-comedy, but Forsythe makes it work.
Peter Bradshaw The Guardian
Played with great charm by Nyong’o, Miss Caroline makes for a kickass heroine, and really ought to be the film’s central protagonist.
Anton Bitel Little White Lies
With a bit more craft and visual imagination, Little Monsters could have been something much bigger, but it has a very good time getting its point across.
David Erhlich IndieWire
A very pleasurable surprise, with likeable leads, the right amount of gore, and some incredible near-the-knuckle gags that you can’t quite believe writer-director Forsythe even attempts, let alone gets away with.
Chris Hewitt Empire
