5 Songs We’re Embarrassed We Know The Words To…
We’ve all been caught out singing along to an embarrassing song in the past, sometimes you just can’t help yourself!
What’s worse, however, is the fact that for some inexplicable reason you seem to know all the words to the cringiest of songs, the ones you really don’t want to be seen singing. Don’t try to deny it, we’re all guilty of it. We bet every single one of you could sing these five pesky songs in your sleep…
‘My Humps’ – Black Eyed Peas
Nobody wants to be caught singing about ‘lovely lady lumps’, but chances are it’s happened to the best of us. There are probably a few Black Eyed Peas songs we can say we know all the words to, but this one has an annoying habit of sticking in your head of days on end.

‘Hero’ – Enrique Iglesias
Not only do we sing along to this breathy ballad, we even go as far as to whisper ‘let me be your hero’ too. At one point, this song was one of the most frequently selected in karaoke bars, now it’s more likely to pop up on Sonos, put there by someone in the office feeling a little nostalgic.
‘Don’t Cha’ – Pussycat Dolls
Awkward. This was a question put to people everywhere by a group of outrageously good looking females who left little to the imagination – what’s not to love? This song sold 7 million copies worldwide, so it’s hardly surprising we all know the words to this frankly quite offensive song!

‘Barbie Girl’ – Aqua
After Britney hit us one more time, Aqua smacked us in the face with the song we love to hate – ‘Barbie Girl’. With 224 millions hits on YouTube and 8 million copies sold worldwide, we basically had no choice but to learn the words to this song – especially if we wanted to dominate the school disco dance floor.
‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ – Britney Spears
We couldn’t really not include this one, even though we’re sure half of you won’t admit to knowing every single word and probably mimicking Britney’s unique voice as you sing along! If you’re adamant you don’t know all the words to this song, one thing’s for sure, you know the first three: ‘oh baby, baby’.
