Here at Walloh we’ve partnered with the 2019 KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival to give two lucky movie-goers the chance to see Cold War on the big screen. What’s more, writer/director Pawel Pawlikowski will be attendance to introduce the film!
Set in post-war Poland, Cold War follows the love affair between a musician and musicologist who - across the years - are drawn together time and time again. Shot in beautiful black-and-white, Cold War is a deeply romantic work of perfectly-rendered episodes, haunting musical numbers, and nuanced performances. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski (Ida) as a tribute to his parents, Cold War was nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2018 and for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2019 Oscars.
