Revolutions

Filmed over the course of four years, this documentary explores the growing popularity of roller derby in Ireland, a sport still in its infancy in a country scarred by recession and the shattered dreams of the young. A fierce rivalry between two teams - Dublin Roller Derby and Cork City Firebirds - provides disenchanted young women with an outlet for their rage and frustrations as Ireland prepares to send its first national team to the roller derby world cup.
