The Family Stone

Everett Stone comes home for a traditional family Christmas, bringing with him his neurotic girlfriend Meredith Morton, hoping to win the approval of his parents Kelly and Sybil, his sister Amy and brother Ben. He also intends to ask his mother for the diamond ring that she promised him as a child, so he might propose to Meredith on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, the dinner does not go as planned so Meredith calls in reinforcements in the shape of her own sister Julie, who proves an immediate hit with the Stone family, not least Everett who has never met his soon-to-be sister-in-law.
