White God
Middle-aged divorcee Daniel works in an abattoir, where he supervises the meticulous stripping of flesh from bone. Unexpectedly, his ex-wife turns up and lumbers him with their 13-year-old daughter Lili and her dog Hagen. A neighbour complains about the animal and an official speaks to Daniel, advising the wayward father that he is liable for a new tax imposed on mixed breed dogs. Unable to pay, Daniel abandons Hagen by the side of a road to howls of anguish from his daughter.
