The Double Life Of Veronique

Polish music student Veronika visits her aunt in Krakow, where she captures a fleeting glimpse of her doppelganger: a student protester, who unknowingly photographs Veronika standing frozen in time in the town square. Shocked by this turn of events, Veronika returns home and her life gradually reverts to normal as she wins a prestigious music competition and makes preparations to perform with the local symphony orchestra. Then she begins to suffer crippling chest pains, which gradually increase in intensity, threatening to cut short her glittering musical career...
