Frida
Biopic chronicling the life and times of artist Frida Kahlo. Salma Hayek plays the eponymous artist through the years, from an energetic teenager when she was involved in a terrible tram car crash which almost left her paralysed, through to her later years married to fellow artist Diego Rivera. The film lays bare Frida's sexual appetite - enjoying extra-marital affairs with Leon Trotsky amongst others - and her struggle to express herself through her painting.
