Polisse

Photographer Melissa is assigned to document the day-to-day activities of a Child Protection Unit based in northern Paris and capture the harsh realities of life for the cops, who have to deal with shocking acts of brutality and abuse against minors on a daily basis. Through Melissa's lens, we become acquainted with unit leader Balloo and his team. Personal and professional tensions unite and divide the squad, giving some of the cops pause for thought about the direction of their careers.
