He searches for a venue while trying to appease his fiancee of 14 years, Miss Adelaide, who is keen to tie the knot... if her beau gives up gambling for good. Fellow risk-taker Sky Masterson bets Nathan 1000 dollars that he can't woo righteous Sergeant Sarah Brown from the Save a Soul mission and get her to have dinner with him.
