Following the death of her father, Nina Shah, a young Scottish Asian, returns home to take charge of the family-run Indian restaurant. She finds a business in disarray, crippled by her father's gambling debts. With courage and exuberance Nina tries to save the business whilst winning the prestigious Best Of The West curry competition.
