Best friends Nauti, S.K. and Tripathi live in Garhwal, Uttarakhand, a rural community where the electricity supply is controlled by a privatised company called SPTL. Tripathi opens a small-scale printing business and he is shocked to receive an electricity bill that he simply can't afford to pay. SPTL shows neither mercy nor compassion and as the pressure builds, poor Tripathi makes the ultimate sacrifice. Nauti and S.K., a fashion designer and lawyer, are devastated and they vow to avenge their friend.
