Winter Sleep

Aydin enjoys minor celebrity status in his village thanks to his former acting career but he now runs a hotel and pens withering columns in a local newspaper, while gathering his thoughts for a book on the rich history of Turkish theatre. Insensitive to the needs of his younger wife, Nihal, and his neighbours, Aydin eventually incurs the wrath of his nearest and dearest as he struggles to make a success of the hotel before the start of the winter season when all the guests depart.
