Kayamkulam Kochunni
Kayamkulam harks from humble beginnings and witnesses the exploitation of the poor and helpless by the rich and powerful in the early 19th century during the British Raj. Aided by his mentor Thangal, Kayamkulam vows to restore the balance of power by taking from those who have plenty to give to those who have none. In the process, he wins the heart of the beautiful Janaki and is elevated to the status of folk hero by the people.
