Bigger Than Life
School teacher Ed Avery suffers a series of acute chest pains and is rushed to hospital, where he is diagnosed with dangerously inflamed arteries. Under medical advice, Ed agrees to take an experimental new hormone called Cortisone. The drug works wonders and Ed returns to work a week later, bursting with life. However, he begins to suffer from depression and so increases his dosage of Cortisone.
