The year is 1997 and crime rates have spiralled. Residents of Manhattan have been resettled so the island can be transformed into a maximum-security prison for the most dangerous members of society. Terrorists hijack Air Force One and The President is captured by prison crime boss The Duke. Commissioner Bob Hauk offers a presidential pardon to former Special Forces soldier Snake Plissken if he can infiltrate the prison and rescue the President.
