Siberia
Lucas Hill travels to St. Petersburg to meet with business partner Pyotr. The two men intend to sell blue diamonds to notorious Russian gangster Boris Volkov. However, Pyotr is nowhere to be seen and the deal collapses. Boris threatens violence but eventually agrees a two-day extension, which will allow Lucas to travel to the small Siberian town of Mirny, where Pyotr's brother lives. During this unexpected diversion, Lucas sparks a fiery attraction with cafe owner Katya.
