Renzo Piano, The Architect Of Light

Award-winning filmmaker Carlos Saura follows Renzo Piano in the construction of one of his most iconic projects – the Centro Botín art gallery, located in the bay of Santander, in northern Spain. From its elevated glass and steel walkways to the 280,000 round ceramic tiles that reflect the surrounding sunlight and the sea, the building makes a strong visual statement and Saura does it justice, as well as providing a fascinating first-hand account of how the 10,000m2 project came to be.
