Best friends Elgin and David are the founders and ringleaders of a Los Angeles hip-hop dance crew, who take on all comers at gladiatorial style contests where crowd appreciation decides who goes home with the prize money. When one of their posse, Rico, defects to a rival team, taking with him all of Elgin and David's sharp moves, the two friends have to start from scratch to win a nationwide dance-off.
