Anandi Gopal
A biographical drama about one of the first female physicians in India in the late 19th century. Born and raised in Kaylan, Anandibai Joshi marries at an early age and moves to Calcutta with her forward-thinking husband Gopalrao. With his blessing, she defies convention to study medicine at the Woman's Medical College in Pennsylvania and returns to India to share her knowledge with a posting at the Albert Edward Hospital.
