Werckmeister Harmonies (Werckmeister Harmóniák)
Darkly poetic portrait of community life set in an nameless Eastern European town, based on Laszlo Krasznahorkai's novel The Melancholy Of Resistance. A young postman Janos Valushka witnesses the divisions caused in the neighbourhood when a sinister circus rolls into the village square. Rumour and spiralling tensions explode with devastating consequences, fuelling revolt, murder and an atmosphere of madness.
