Reuben Feffer is a risk assessor for a major insurance company, employed to judge the possible dangers in any situation. He refuses to take any chances in his own life, always preferring the safe option. His carefully ordered world crumbles when his new wife Lisa cheats on him during their honeymoon. He vows to boycott relationships, but soon changes his mind when he meets spontaneous and sparky Polly, who stirs long dormant feelings.
