Out of Iraq
2016 | 1h 21m | Documentary
In 2004, Ramadi was the most dangerous place in the world and the last place anyone would expect to find love. But that's what happened when Nayyef, an Iraqi translator working with the U.S. military, met Btoo, a soldier in the Iraqi army. Despite the war and dangers of being gay in Iraq, their relationship blossomed until Nayyef had to flee the country for his safety in 2009. Their separation marks the beginning of the most harrowing chapter of their love story and touches on some of the most pressing humanitarian issues of the day.
