Cleopatra
Young and beautiful Cleopatra meets with Julius Caesar shortly after the Battle of Pharsalus to warn the Roman general about her brother, Pharaoh Ptolemy. She is subsequently crowned Queen of Egypt and holds fast to the dream that she will rule side by side with Caesar in Rome. However, he is stabbed to death by treacherous senators and Cleopatra returns to her beloved Egypt where ambitious Mark Anthony becomes her lover and they plot against Caesar's successor, his nephew Octavian.
