The Mayor's Race
Marvin Rees is a mixed race man in his 40’s. Having experienced poverty, racism and witnessing the increasing hatred of Muslims, he wants to shape the society he lives in. Believing political office will give him the power to do so, he runs for mayor in Bristol – a city with an unknown history of civil rights movements, inspired by Martin Luther King and protests that sparked of nationwide riots.
