Harry Birrell Presents Films Of Love And War
In 1928, 11-year-old Harry Birrell received a camera, kick-starting an obsession with making films that lasted for the rest of his life, even when he faced blindness. Birrell documented every facet of his life on 16mm film, including his time with the Indian army during the Second World War. This documentary include excerpts from some of Birrell's 400 films alongside family photographs and Birrell's personal diaries, which are read aloud by Richard Madden.
