A herdsman called Kidane enjoys a simple life with his wife Satima and their 12-year-old daughter. When a local fisherman kills Kidane's cow, the father confronts the culprit with unpredictably tragic consequences. The herdsman is judged for his regrettable crime by a warped justice system that doesn't allow for sentiment or mercy.
