Bonsái
Julio pursues a faltering romance with neighbour Blanca, to whom he makes boasts about his job as an assistant to famous novelist Gazmuri. When he subsequently loses the job, Julio attempts to save face by hurriedly writing a novel to pass off as Gazmuri's work to Blanca, hoping she will be impressed by the reams of hand-written musings. For inspiration, Julio returns to rose-tinted reminiscences of his college days and a doomed romance with the beautiful Emilia.
