Passion of Remembrance
1986 | 1h 20m | Drama
Racism and several other issues come up in this experimental film that looks at the problems of black citizens in the U.K. from different perspectives. In the first half of the film, an unnamed man and woman speak out about black issues in their own way (slightly belligerent in the one instance and impassioned but restrained in the other). They are set in a desert landscape which highlights their isolation and their feelings. In the second half, a family and its own particular cultural, generational, and sexual hang-ups get an airing.
