Seventeen-year-old Del and his girlfriend, 15-year-old Irene, are misunderstood by their respective parents. Craving excitement, the couple turns to Jo aka Bronco Bullfrog, who has just served time in Borstal and seems to be enjoying life to the full. As Del and Irene follow Bronco's lead, the teenagers bear witness to the changing moods of a nation as it stumbles towards the dawning of the 1970s.
