Eisenstein In Guanajuato

Following the release of his masterpiece Battleship Potemkin, Soviet filmmaker Sergei Eisenstein is invited to Hollywood but conservative Americans coldly reject him. In 1931, he travels to Mexico to shoot a new film to be titled Que Viva Mexico, which has been privately funded by a group of American pro-Communist sympathisers. Chaperoned around the city of Guanajuato by his guide Palomino Canedo, Eisenstein becomes intoxicated by his experiences, providing him with the creative spark for future successes.
