In 10th-century South India, Sundara Chozhar presides over the powerful Chola dynasty, supported by his sons, Aditha Karikalan and Arunmozhi Varman. The princes have waged successful military campaigns in Kanchi and Sri Lanka in their father's name but they have made enemies in the process including Pandya soldiers loyal to fallen king Veerapandyan. Closer to home, royal chieftains scheme to usurp rightful heir Aditha Karikalan and replace him with his uncle.
