A Nightmare on Elm Street
Teenagers in the Ohio town of Springwood begin to experience the same terrifying figure in their dreams: a hideously disfigured man called Freddie with a striped jumper and razor-sharp knives for fingers. Nancy Thompson is terrorised by this phantom but manages to escape by staying awake while many of her classmates and friends perish. As sleep deprivation takes its toll, Nancy is forced to confront Freddie in the realm of nightmares, where he is the undisputed king.
