F For Fake
1975 | 1h 28m | Documentary
Orson Welles lectures the audience on truth and falsehood in art and life in this re-release of his 1973 film essay, which blurs the boundary between documentary and fiction. The picture focuses on a number of individuals, who have been less than forthcoming with the truth, including renowned art forger Elmyr de Hory and investigative reporter Clifford Irving, who sensationally falsified an apparently authorised autobiography of Howard Hughes.
