Anna arrives in Tuscany at the holiday home of old school friend Verena and her husband Charlie. Strangely, Anna's husband is not with her and from a series of telephone calls it becomes evident that all is not well in the marital bed. While Verena plays the role of hostess with aplomb, Anna seeks shelter with the teenage guests, especially cocky and handsome Oakley, who is facing emotional turmoil of his own, clashing with his father George.
