Hobson's Choice

Domineering Lancashire boot-maker Henry Hobson rides roughshod over his family and his employees. Maggie, the eldest of Henry's three daughters, rebels by marrying one of her father's lowly workers, shy Will Mossop. Together, they set up a rival business to teach the old man a long overdue lesson in humility and compromise. Meanwhile, Maggie also plots to help her sisters Alice and Vicky follow their hearts regardless of the dictates imposed by their father.
